Polaroids

When I am out shooting, I almost always bring one of my instant cameras along with me. I started photographing seriously after getting a OneStep Closeup and becoming deeply interested in analog photography. Watching my images slowly fade in is still one of my favorite things about shooting on film.

Unpredictable results are guaranteed when shooting Polaroid. I sometimes get a frame like this one where the chemical pack has dried out and when it ejects, spreads dry developing chemicals across the frame. I especially like this one. It reminds me of an overhead view of a sandy beach with a wave receding back into the cool blue water.
